Owens Group is expanding its fleet with 100 new MAN tractor units, including the latest eTGX electric vehicles alongside TGX GM and GX cab models. This is part of our ongoing fleet renewal and growth programme, aimed at boosting efficiency, sustainability, and driver comfort across our UK operations.
As early adopters of the MAN eTGX, we are taking significant steps to reduce emissions and support the decarbonisation of UK road transport. The electric units produce zero tailpipe emissions, cut CO₂ output, and reduce noise—ideal for urban and night-time deliveries. For our customers, this offers a real opportunity to lower Scope 3 transport emissions and advance their environmental targets.
The wider intake of diesel TGX units also delivers environmental and operational benefits. Improved fuel efficiency, advanced aerodynamics, and lower emissions engines reduce CO₂ compared with older vehicles, ensuring gains across both electric and conventional trucks.
“This latest addition continues our ongoing fleet investment, enhancing efficiency, driver comfort, and sustainability. By combining electric and diesel trucks, we strengthen our ability to provide reliable, low-emission logistics while supporting the transition to a greener transport network.” – Eurof Owen, Group Commercial Director
GX cabs provide extra space and comfort for long-distance work, while GM cabs offer efficient solutions for regional and distribution operations. Both prioritise driver wellbeing, safety, and technology, helping us attract and retain professional drivers while improving overall fleet performance.
This investment reflects Owens Group’s long-term commitment to sustainable growth, operational excellence, and supporting customers in the move to lower-carbon logistics. By combining electric and highly efficient diesel vehicles, we are building a fleet ready for the future—delivering for customers while reducing environmental impact across the UK transport network.
